eleneariel: (nobody's baby)
Friday I realized that it's been six months since asthma has interfered with my life. Yay drugs!

Saturday I turned a $15 art print into a work of art via clever use of antiquing paste, glaze, and a knife. I also  talked myself into and out of buying a new camera in the space of ten minutes.

Sunday I found out we have a baby bunny living under our house. He hops out into the yard and it makes me very happy. I haven't seen a rabbit around since we left Florida.

Today I have realized that one of the things in life that makes me the happiest is when I suggest a book/recipe/song/movie/place to someone and they come back later and go you know, that was a really good book/dish/song/movie/place to go. The majority of the time this happens at the library, and it makes me feel worthy of my calling.

Free samples: I'm loving it. The last few days the trickle of samples from Wal-Mart and Start Sampling has become a minor flood. Today brought three kinds of Yogi tea (one of which I'm drinking now; Black Chai, and it is good) and several other small items. Yesterday I got delicious Dove body wash and various food stuffs. Yum!

Also, [personal profile] violetvale, I receieved your items today! Thank you so much. The shirt is perfect for layering -- just what I've been needing. Now I'm heading off to go hear myself some Kings of Convenience. *happy*

A coyote crossed the road in front of me on my way home. Although my dad claims to see them often (along with foxes), this is the first one I've seen since we've lived here (going on 14 years).

Time for bed. Definitely.

There's a mouse living in my car. And last night it tried to eat my cookies.

I went to a wine tasting and bought a bottle and was never asked for my ID. o_O I am, after all, just a few months over 21. Maybe I look older than my age after all. Or maybe it was that "air of confidence" that I don't see, but am told I have. (Hannah?)

The good news is that I found something I like much more than dry red wines. Yay for a sweet table wine.

Saturday I also saw tigers. Live and very, very large...but oh so cuddly looking. I wish you could tame a tiger absolutely and keep him as a pet. For one thing, they remind me of Hobbs.

I love what's happening in my Sunday school class. I love the caring and concern people have for one another.

I never seem to think quite so well about life and love as I do when lying in the dark on a blanket on a grassy hillside, with the sounds of the live music washing over and around me. And I think I say this every year after the festival.

I love sweet potatos.
