I know who is killed in HP6.

Heh. [livejournal.com profile] savetheolives, please don't you dare say anything. I'm glad I know, SO THERE.

And no, no hints, no winkling it out, even thought I suspect most of you don't want to know until you can read it for yourself.

...hm. Must say I'm not too surprised.

Wait. What if I WANT to know, and I'm a special friend?!

Besides.

IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TELL US YOU HAVE NO BLOODY BUSINESS TAUNTING US ON LIVEJOURNAL, YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR MOUTH SHUT. =P

I am unamused. *glares*

Do you really want to know? I mean, honestly really? 'Cause I could possibly make a Special Friend Exception. Maybe.

No, No, No, No, No!!!

I am trying to be SPOILER FREE here. I didn't even want to know if there was One Big Death or Scores of Deaths (and I don't want further enlightenment).

If you tell Kristin, then she will be sure to tell the rest of my family and there will be many whispered conferences about it and I will be mocked and kicked out the room simply for my principles.

C'mon. It's coming out Saturday. We.Can.Wait.

We wouldn't want you mocked, of course not. My lips remain zipped.

...Sorry, I thought everyone knew there was a big death. o_O

Date: 2005-07-14 03:33 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] elanortheeldest.livejournal.com
I figured there most likely was a big death, but some people had been speculating that in this book or the next there might just be a whole bunch of deaths rather than just one key one like Sirius in Book 5.

So your post isn't a big deal. It's just the thought of Kristin with that knowledge. *shudder*

Oh, like a Shakespearian tragedy where everybody important ends up dead at the end?

Date: 2005-07-14 05:00 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] elanortheeldest.livejournal.com
Not necessarily everybody important: but dozens of deaths across the wizarding world, maybe one or two people you know but the impact coming mainly from the huge numbers of slain good-folk.

From: [identity profile] equuschick.livejournal.com
I thought everybody knew there was a big death too. You don't even necessarily have to have found out. If you know J.K Rowling, than you ought to know by now that every book following GOF will have at least one dramatic decease. ;)

Ignore everything Nicole has said to you on the subject. I really want to know, if not exactly who dies, I want to know who doesn't. If I read this book, will I be a sad, depressed, and angry person? That's what I want to know.

Well, *I* wasn't depressed and angry. Email me for more info, without me exactly giving it away....lol. YOU have to email ME, for I'm at work and can't remember you address.

*cower* I wasn't going to tell you. And I decided the suspense wasn't worth the willpower, as there are better things I can be exerting willpower on.

Oops. Wrong icon. Perhaps it is ironic that the icon above, named "heaven 1" is right next to "harry potter 1." Heh.

::grumble grumble:: I s'pose I can forgive you for lying (saying that it was a spoiler free post!). I s'pose I can forgive you for deceiving. But I don't think I can forgive you for spoiler-giving. That is one of the seven deadly sins, you know. :-|

But I didn't think it was a spoiler! Really, you are being very harsh. =)

I think I left off some smiles and winks in my last few comments. :-) ;-)

I can understand you thinking everyone knew it. But it's just that someone gave that "spoiler" to me before book 5, and I read the whole thing, terrified at the turn of every page, that such and such character was going to die and so forth. It does not make for happy reading when you know it's going to end up unhappy. ::weep::

Date: 2005-07-14 05:22 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] elanortheeldest.livejournal.com
I know... I was thinking just yesterday how petrified I was turning every single page: "Is THIS person going to die? How about THIS person?" and I wasn't going to be so sick with worry this time around.

Haha, exactly. Ah well. I think we've given Marie a hard enough time, so I'll be quiet now. ;-)

Hey, Melinda...I've got an idea.

A week before Book 7 comes out let's you & I rent a cheap hotel room or something and just stay there, away from the world and its evil spoiler influences until the night it comes out.

Date: 2005-07-14 04:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] melyndie.livejournal.com
YES. Let's do that! And when Friday night comes, we'll haunt the exterior of a bookstore and steal a book from an unwary child exiting the store. Then we'll go back in our room, read for days together, and then come out to meet the world.

Date: 2005-07-14 04:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] elanortheeldest.livejournal.com
I think we should steal it from someone at an airport, just for old time's sake.

We could meet halfway and then we'd also be apart from our families... mine is VERY dangerous when it comes to spoilers.

Stock up on chocolate and meal-stuff in advance, make sure we have the proper hair care stuff and we're set. :-)

Date: 2005-07-14 05:15 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] melyndie.livejournal.com
Airport! Good idea. I'm about 20-25 minutes from an airport right now. Care to meet there? Or maybe we should both fly somewhere.

My family won't give any spoilers from reading the book (they don't read HP except for Randy, and he'll read my copy after me), but last year my mom nearly gave me spoilers from something she saw on the TV news about it. What in the world?! News anchors are now telling everyone that ____ died in book 5?!

Let's go to a place without electricity, or at least without television.

Chocolate--check
Meal stuff--snack food (we don't want to spend time away from reading to cook)--check
Proper hair care stuff--always ready--check

Let's go!

Date: 2005-07-14 05:21 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] elanortheeldest.livejournal.com
ah, Ok. If your family is safe then I will meet you there.

We should have electricity and a TV - that way we can spend the waiting days re-watching the movies and re-reading the other books. No watching TV though

Lots of veggies and dip, peanut butter (quick protein), maybe some protein shakes purchased in advance?

See ya there!

And they accidentally sold them a week early in Canada, and then promised everyone who returned their books JK Rowling's autograph.

*sigh* Lucky they are. I mean, gosh: reading the book early AND getting her autograph.
