I walked into the post office this morning to hear ... chirping! Crates of baby chicks were being mailed. I had no idea that was possible, but they sure are cute. And yellow and fluffy and adorable.

 

In about two hours I'm driving to Kansas City to meet up with mainhoonemily , ransomedsea , windandtherain , jkgeroo , and - I hope - amea ! FUN TIMES. Watch twitter for updates on adventures n' stuff. :D

I think Saturday afternoon will work for us if it will for you. Jordan and I are picking up a friend from the airport at ten, and we don't meet up with Lizzi until around five, so name the place and we can do something in between!

That happened to my mom once! Apparently mailing chicks is kind of common--who knew? So she was asking the postal workers about it and they told her a story about one time when someone mailed a snake and it got loose! :O

I asked "So, could I mail a parrot?" And they said "well ... I've never seen a parrot mailed before, but hey, why not?"
