Well. I do have an "I Kissed a Vampire" t-shirt, it's true. As well as a "Team Edward" t-shirt. HOWEVER, I have steadfastly ignored all the other ones, the ones with pictures of Edward, the ones that say I'm a silly fangirl omg Edward is HOTTTT!

At last, I have found the shirt that says I R SRS FAN. I mean, really. The Cullen crest in black and silver can't help but be classy, right?

I forgot to take a before picture, but you know the drill - bought it on sale, took up the shoulders and took in the sides, cut out the neckline ... this time I slashed and knotted the bottom and the sleeves. If I like it, good. If not, I'll chop it off and do something else.

Did you know there's a whole LJ community for t-shirt surgery? I am so going to haunt their archives and steal ideas.

So the fabric doesn't ravel at all when you do that? I never would have thought of doing something like this but it's a neat idea.

The edges kind of curl up, but I have another shirt I did this to, and it's not raveled at all, even though I've washed it quite a few times. I'm sure it won't hold up as well as a non-cut-up shirt, but, well. :)

I don't quite understand why, but T-shirt material doesn't seem to ravel.

(Not that I have cut-up T's that I wear, but I do have some that were cut up for cotton rags which I've used for ages.)

I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm not really much of a T-shirt wearer, but it's good to know if I find one I like that I could play around and do fun stuff like this with it.
