It sort of blows my mind how many different clothing combinations are possible with what I have in my closet. I've owned this white skirt for at least three years now, the tan top even longer, and this is the first time I've ever thought to wear them together.

The necklace used to be a Christmas tree ornament.

The hair is down to hide my sunburnt ears.

My arms HURT.

HA HA! I love the first picture. Oh how I hate sunburns. You have my sympathy.

Thanks. :) I've been so careful and haven't gotten a burn in years, but I was so focused on the other details that I never even thought about sunblock yesterday. =P

So pretty! I especially love your hair today. It looks great down. :)

Ouchy. Sorry you got a sunburn. :(

Thanks! I like it down too, but I'm too lazy to fix it every day. A ponytale is so much easier. ;)

I have a white skirt and sandals just like that! And that's such a lovely outfit for a spring day. :-)

I really love my white skirts. :)

Yikes! That looks like a bad sunburn. Hope you are feeling better now. If it still hurts and you haven't yet tried it, aloe vera gel is definitely worth trying. It really cools the burn and usually takes the red out very quickly. If you put it on early, it is almost like you didn't get burnt at all--it works that well. It is also good to have on hand for other painful burn emergencies, so you don't have to feel guilty of having to buy it. I always carry a little bottle in my travel kit. (Sorry I didn't think of this to mention earlier, but I hadn't thought, either, about such a burn danger this early in the season. It didn't occur to me you'd have such a painful burn this time of year.)

Oh, thank you for the reminder! We used to have some aloe vera around here somewhere ... I'll look and see if I can find it. :)

Love the outfit and necklace! I have a window ornament which I keep meaning to make into a necklace!

Thanks! It's fun to wear random things as jewelry ... sometimes I wear the key to my antique dresser on a chain around my neck. :)

Loooove the skirt. I would so want it except wearing white (much as I adore wearing white) is hard with little ones.

Poor sunburned you! Sunburns suck.

It's hard enough for me to keep it clean - I can't imagine trying with children around!

Is that the skirt you bought when I visited you that time? :) I still love it... it's beautiful.

Whoa, you were here for that? I totally didn't remember that.

I <3 the little clear sequins on it ... wish they showed up better in photographs.

Thanks. :) If I could get myself out of bed earlier, I'd fix it down more often ... I'm lazy. :D

Thank you! :)

And to answer your question ... because I am too lazy to get up early enough to fix it. =P It's much easier to put it up or in a ponytail!
