How do you acquire such randomly amazing things?!

[identity profile] eattheolives.livejournal.com 2008-10-20 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll tell you. I go to all the big church rummage sales, and I befriend the little old ladies working there. And sometimes they see me rejoicing over a piece of vintage clothing and they say ...

"MARTHA, you take over for me, I'm going to have this young lady follow me home so I can give her some of those old clothes in the garage!"

And they do, and nine times out of ten they fit (apparently all little old ladies were my size in their younger days).

The End.

Haha, well, I hope all of these old ladies are attractive in their age, as it sounds like they may also be a good barometer for your future...

The pink one is absolutely too classic not to use for a library. It's "storybook" to a tee. :)

Isn't it just? It makes me feel like Cinderella or something.

The rose dress is the only princes-like dress there, in my opinion, with the possible exception fo the red one, and only if you were going to be Buttercup from The Princess Bride.

[identity profile] eattheolives.livejournal.com 2008-10-21 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
It would be fun to be Buttercup ... if I could go with the Dread Pirate Roberts. :)

I agree, the rose one is just perfect. I'll probably wait to wear it until I really have occasion to dress like a Vanderbilt woman... It's going to take some work to alter it to fit - all those layers of sheer material. o_O

Those dresses are so amazing! I am in love with the blue one.

You and your finds...!

I seem to have a built-in vintage radar. o_O

My goodness! Gorgeous dresses! I can't choose between them all.
