yeah, our relationship is in an infancy stage. So would you say that you now actually like Jazz, or can you just tolerate it? What made you change your mind?

Most people are suprised by the music I listen to. You'd think at first that I'm one of those die hard rock and roll / heavy metal kind of guys. Which I am. But they're just one of many kinds of genres I like.

I used to say I liked every kind of music except for jazz and rap. I guess I'm down to just rap now, and come to think of it, there is that one song... ; )

Ooh, I bet it's the one with Dido in it, right? I actually liked that one because it was the first time I had ever heard Dido.

I like Dido, but I'm not even sure I've heard that one. I was thinking of one he wrote about his daughter..."When I'm Gone" is the title, I think. I mean, yeah, he's a completely unattractive and usually disgusting person but even that kind of man can be heartbreaking ~~singing~~ rapping about a little daughter.

I'm afraid I can't help you learn to love rap. =) I only have a small amount of music that could be considered hip hop of any variety, and it's not that great. Although I do sometimes enjoy some older hip-hop, or modern hip hop if it's musical enough (and not offensive). But it's really rare when I can stand anything that's considered plain old rap.

It's the not-offensive part that's so hard to find. Sometimes I hear some songs that I think are kind of neat, until I figure out what the words are. =P
