Since the new rich text way of posting, I have been able to neither post polls nor use lj-cuts. 

And now I am sick of it.

You can change it back to manual, buit I can't remember how it was! I'll look back in my journal...

As far as I can tell, the ability to switch back is located directly under the entry box when you go to journal --> update.

Of course, you probably know this and are only warning against its evils.

But I had to comment. This icon is far too appropriate.
