A literary cat
My life must be rubbing off on him already. (Actually, he just loves to play with pens.)
Leaning Tower of Hagen
See? He likes salt too.
Props to Hannah for the Coolest Book as a Birthday Present Ever.

If I said yes, would that make me look more intellectual than admiting he's named after Tom Hagen in the Godfather?

LOL Don't be so apologetic. Naming him after something you love is always good. Good heavens, I mean, after all, my cat's name is 'Squeaker Squeakums' from the Emperor's New Groove. That's only a sound, not even a proper name!

See, it's hard to resist.
My favorite cat name ever was 'Runcible Spoon' from the Owl and the Pussy Cat poem. My mom suggested it as a joke and we immediately chose it.

That's brilliant.
I used to name mine after composers, so for a while we had a whole string of cats along the lines of Beethoven, Mozart, Frederick Francois Chopin....

For a while I chose names for my Betas from the Iliad. I thought naming a little beta fish 'Agamemnon' was the best thing ever.
