ithilien_elf tagged me to tell about my user name. I've told the story before, but here it is, in all its mundane glory:

eattheolives is Me because I got into LJ through the influence of my best friend savetheolives, and being the type to want to annoy her whenever possible, I determined that while she was saving those precious olives, I would eat them (even though I, in fact, detest green olives and only mildly enjoy black olives. I do, however, love olive oil.)

From what I remember, it was a long drawn out complicated story involving people with too much time on their hands and a penchent for being crazy. But you'd have to ask her. =)
