I have a swingy skirt, pink nail polish, sandals, and 85 degree weather. And for lunch I'm going to walk down to the Coffee Bean and get a big frozen cappuccino. I promised myself the first really warm day I'd do that, and so I shall.

I'm used to British spelling in many of the books I read, but Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell used several unusual spellings I've rarely seen before: connexion and chuse. It was always a little jarring to encounter suddenly, but I think I like it.

Last night I decided I'd been reading too much Old English when I started writing a note to myself and absentmindedly added 'e's to the end of all the words.

From my Leviticus commentary reading yesterday:

To be occupied with my guilt, in the presence of God, is not humility, as regards myself, but unbelief, as regards the sacrifice of Jesus.

(Pardon the excessive use of commas. It's an old, old commentary.)

SO JEALOUS! :P

So true. For which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? So we aren't paralyzed by our sin: forgiven, we walk.

I was going to say "so true" and then I saw that's how you started your comment. =) So, instead: well said!

Wow, good quote from that commentary. Sounds like something right out of the sermons I've been hearing recently on Galatians about the Judaizers trying to supplement the means of salvation and thereby making the sacrifice of the cross worthless.

On another subject, a swingy skirt? Pictures? :D

Alas, I haven't got my camera with me today. It's grey with white and pink flowers and it swishes when I walk. *grin*

So cold? Yikes. We beat the all-time record high (so they say) today.

You have a Coffee Bean? As in a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf? They are my favorite coffee chain out here in CA and they don't have them in AR and it makes me very sad. So I was surprised to read that, because I didn't think they'd have them in OK either. but maybe it's something different.

And I always add "e"s to the end of words when I'm writing really fast. Especially on "frome" or "greene". Why? No one knows.

Not the chain Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf--this is a single locally owned cafe kind of place. It's adorable, you would love it.

Hmm...I needed this.

It's hard to wrap my mind around sometimes. I regret a lot of things.

But God is good.
