Maybe life is always in upheaval

elenearielIf it's not my surroundings, it's within my mind. I am a perfect jumble of thoughts and ideas and dreams just now, and I think I'm ready for the weekend to be able to have time to sort them out.
Only the weekend will be spent sorting other things out.
I like doing impromptu Nice Things for people. Yesterday late afternoon we found out it was Sheryl's birthday. I happened to have taken a very cute photo of her earlier in the day at the Civil War luncheon (she had on a hat and just looked Adorable), so Kim was like--why don't you take work time and run out to Wal-Mart and get it printed and buy a frame and let's all give it to her? And so I did. A very cute Sheryl-ish frame with blue flowers around the top.
It was a big thrill to call back to work from Wal-Mart on my teeny-tiny cell phone and let them know how long I'd be. I'm thinking that was a worthwhile investment.
I have some other ideas for Nice Things, which I hope to carry out soon.
With work being so difficult lately--physically and mentally--things at home have grown...lax. To say the least. Tonight when I get home there must not be any crashing on the bed with a book. I must clean. So that Saturday may be spent tackling and cataloging the huge stacks of books (also the stacks of papers). And my poor fish needs a bath, as does my car.
On the mental part, last night I found myself growing lazy brained--I'd been very strong about something and then I gave in to vague feelings of sadness and melancholy. But that's gone now.
I need to post some pictures. Next week.
