Why, yes, it does have that shape! Does it have a place for a candle in the middle? I'm thinking it was maybe meant to be hung in your outdoor gazebo or otherwise suspended over an outdoor summer table. Definitely well worth the 50 cents!

Yes, it does! It'll hold a taper candle. I think it would be lovely to hold an informal dusk-time dinner party under its glow. :)
