1. I was compared to a Mario Brothers character. (Someone who is .... Spanish? And sneaky? I am neither. Well, mostly. I'm not Spanish, anyway.)

2. I was offline for 2 1/2 days and came back to find only two new emails in my inbox. o_O

I believe the brothers Mario are actually Italian. ;-)

I'm going off pure hearsay here, what with my entire experience in this field consisting of a few random games of Donkey Kong, but the person who compared me to said (minor?) character thought he was Spanish. o_O

Then again, the gentleman doing the comparing looked a little old to be using computer games as a culteral reference point. The whole experience could be summed up with the phrase 'what the heck?'

I agree, that certainly does sound like a "what the heck" moment if I ever heard one. :D

*laugh* My mind thought "Why would she say she's been offline for 10 days in such a way?"- 21 divided by 2.

2.5 days in other words... I'm stupid.

Guess that little space between 2 and 1/2 was important ... oops. ;)

The only time I've been offline for that long was during the Great Ice Storm of Doom when I didn't have electricity for 14 days. Yeah. Charming.

Mario and Luigi are Italian. I'm not sure where the sneaky part comes in. They're plumbers, not ninjas. :P

As a huge video game nerd and someone who has actually played all of the old school Mario games, they were Italian plumbers and aren't very sneaky. I mean they run around in colorful outfits throwing fireballs or in some cases they even have raccoon tails. Does not sound like someone who wants to go unnoticed to me.

Were you wearing suspenders or something? Was it a thick busy mustache that reminded him of Mario? Were you eating mushrooms at the time? This is quite odd to say the least.

I remember that ice storm! I almost feel guilty to say we lost power for 4 hours...

No suspenders, no mustache, no funny accent, and NO mushrooms. *shrug* Beats me.
