Tonight I found one of those castle shaped bundt pans on sale. I am, yes, quite dead with happiness, as it was one of my much longed-for kitchen items. As it happens, one of my fellow librarians is having a birthday tomorrow, so I'm making the famous Triple Lemon Cake, and I'm going to glaze it, dust it with powdered sugar, and adorn the tops of the turrets with maraschino cherries.

I also found dark chocolate covered cherries.

And brie.

Now I'm just waiting up until The Moment when the cake has cooled enough to upend the pan. (I laugh at myself for being the kind of person who decides to make something so involved at eleven o'clock at night.)  I have extraordinarily good luck at getting bundt cakes to emerge flawlessly, but I have never attempted such an intricate one. The moment of truth approaches...
