Two Wonderful Things

On the way home tonight I mostly kept my eyes on the bank of clouds (thankfully directly ahead of my path) where God was putting on a lightening show to rival any of man's fireworks displays. Beautiful. 

I got a package from Australia today, sent by our very own blackswans! For the first time in my life, though, I am being a very, very good girl and waiting to open all my presents at my birthday dinner. Alas, this package almost ruined my resolve. It's not every day something comes from across the seas, you know. "Air mail" -- don't the words just thrill?

So maybe weird things make me happy. Leave me be in my randomly happy little bubble!

I mailed your package today, btw, which means it will probably be late. Also, it was rather hastily wrapped as I had planned to do it at my leisure tomorrow, but then I discovered I had to go into work anyway and before 2 pm in the afternoon, so I rushed to get it all done at once. ;-)

I think that mail travels faster between continents than state to state here in the US. =P

Save your respect until I see if I can actually MAKE it until tomorrow night, lol. This is the first time I've even attempted to wait. :)

International packages and letters are the best! Its hard to with hold from opening birthday packages before ones birthday. Makes the day more special though.;)
