Head to IMDB.com and look up ten of your favorite movies. List three plot keywords for each movie, and then see which of your friends can guess what movie you're talking about.

1. No opening credits, Adopted son, Car bomb
2. Adversity, Death of Hero, Birthday Party
3. Unwanted Guest, Swimming, Bed Jumping
4. Whimsical, Senior Citizen, Zoo
5. Plate Glass, Piano, Fiancee
6. Navel Officer, Corset, Anti-Hero
7. Hidden Corpse, New York, Honeymoon
8. Rhyming Slang, Elevator Shaft, Mormon
9. Quicksand, Arranged Marriage, Funny Accent
10. Lyrical, Mockery, Presumed Dead

My guess?

[personal profile] savetheolives figures them all out right off!

My brothers are all standing behind me trying to help me on those three...

Andrew: "Number 7... The Terminal! Director's Cut. He's in New York, he's on his... honeymoon... and... he has... a hidden corpse... wait."

All three are certain that 2 is LOTR: FOTR (commonly known as Lotra Fotra). I'm not so sure. Are they right?

We're all stumped on 10. Andrew says it's Annie Get Your Gun. I don't think he's even seen that. :P

Lyrical... points to a musical... mockery... a humorous musical... presumed dead? West Side Story? Hmm. Is there mockery in there? I supposed if you include the Jets mocking the Sharks.

More on this as it unfolds. lol

All right so far! 2 is indeed Lotra Fotra; congratulate the boys for me. :)

Just keep working on #10. :D You like this one a lot ...

Emperor's New Groove? :P

Nope. :)

Hint: it's not lyrical so much in music as in general aura.

Man. I really have no idea. And it's a movie I like, too! lol Some other people have suggested it's Shakespeare, so I want to se Much Ado About Nothing... but I don't remember anyone being presumed dead there (but then again, I haven't seen it in awhile). I give up. :)

Oops, and technically you're wrong about #8. Care to revise?

Ah, is it Ocean's 11? That's what I put down first, but Andrew said it was Ocean's 12.

I don't think 12 has any scenes in an elevator shaft ... other than that, they're pretty much interchangable anyway, lol.

Ah okay... that's what I was thinking, but I couldn't remember Mormons in Ocean's 11 and Andrew has remembered them from Ocean's 12. :)

Uncanny!

Looking at her answers now, I should have known the majority of those. I'm worse at this than I thought I'd be. :P

Dad thought it was Romeo and Juliet, but it's totally Much Ado About Nothing. I see I'm late on that one, though. :P

Romeo and Juliet fits, though ... IS there a good movie version of that one? If so, I'd like to see it.

Could #10 be Romeo and Juliet by chance?

I'm curious about #1! I love movies with no opening credits, for some reason. :-)

And is #10 Much Ado About Nothing? :-)

You got it right!

I like movies that jump right into the story, too. :)

Hmm... You know, I don't think I know any of those! The second one might be Fellowship of the Ring. Six is perhaps Pirates of the Caribbean? And the ninth is... Princess Bride?

You are right on all three!
