On Waiting

One of the harder things in life for me to do is wait. If there's something I could be doing to further whatever the cause is, I want to do it...get the ball rolling, get the project started, get whatever it is going on the track I think it should go.

But sometimes I'm called to just sit back and wait. Whether waiting for God or waiting for another person, sometimes it's important that I not take over.

God is a good Teacher.

And you have much more to wait for right now than I do. *hug*

Man, I hear ya. I think that's the lesson God has me on right now, and I'm not making very good grades so far. :\

*hugs*

Aww. And like I just told [livejournal.com profile] crystallia, you both have much more to wait for right now than I do. Let's just say you're doing better than I would in your shoes. =)

I'm not exactly going through intense patience training like the above commenters but I've been through enough to know that waiting isn't easy. And yes, God is an amazing Teacher - we just wish His lessons weren't so hard. ;-)

And why is Firefox trying to tell me that commenters is an incorrect spelling?

Because Firefox isn't hip to eljay culture. =D

Well it needs to get hipped then. If eljay culture says it's right then it's right. Especially when it's been critically reviewed by people such as yourself. iT's nO LkE this r Myspace ore somthing. :p

Pretty much... I'm the same way. I think I've flunked this course numerous times, so I keep getting held back.
I'm glad He is a patient teacher.

Patience is hard for me too. I think I've learned to be a lot better about it over the last few years though. We just have to trust in God and not in ourselves and our own plans. Everything works out for the good in the end.

Although that's not always what we want or realize. Sadly. :(

Wise words. I too do a lot better than several years ago - but it's still something I'm being taught. Probably always will be.

Growing up in this internet culture and fast food everything is not helping. We want whatever and we want it right now! ;)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter, I'm sure others have/will find it encouraging too. :D

The culture has definitely not helped, although I'm sure waiting has always been a hard thing for most people.
