I honestly can't believe how easily I've adjusted to my job at the library. I always thought my dream job would be at a library or a bookstore, but I never thought it would really work out this well for me! It really does seem to be the type of work that suits me best. All my other jobs have either made me bored, or anxious, or really tired. This is perfect. It's interesting, but not too scary, and I've learned everything so fast...And today I pick up my first pay check. =)

All the other librarians are so nice. I don't dislike any of them, they don't annoy me...they're helpful and and sweet and I already feel like I've gained five new friends. And they're all Christians! Each one has talked about their church at various times, and Shelby--she's my age, the other new employee--is the daughter of a preacher. It makes it so peaceful, knowing that I'm working among sisters in Christ. I never had planned to keep silent on my beliefs, but it's so nice knowing no one's going to get offended.

Today someone came in and payed $57 in fines. o_O Whoa. How in the world do you acru that much in late fees? She said she was "in school and just didn't have time to bring the books back." Idiot.

Now I have to go grocery shopping for my mom. Yippie. Maybe I'll actually get home in time for dinner, if I hurry...

LOL. I've been bad about returning books before, but never that bad. Wow.

Have fun shopping. :-D

good to hear from you. :) I have always thought it would be nice to work at a library - relaxing but not boring, you know? you still have to do work but it's a quiet environment ... with bookish people!

the $57 in fines sounds like me. =P I think I've returned..... uh....... 3 books on time in the last two years, and I'm not generally flaky. but I usually make it on the grace day or something.

Precisely why I like it. =D And if it ever *does* get boring, there's always book to look at!

*shuffles feet* The C---- family, all 9 of us, have had to pay more than $57 in fines. However, I don't see how *one* girl could do it all by herself. It happens in my family because there's so many of us. :-D
Glad you're enjoying your job, though, it sounds great. How exciting that all your coworkers are Christians! I haven't noticed *one* at Forrest Hill Farm. Its distressing. :/
