Choices, choices
Mar. 28th, 2009 08:27 amFirst. Snow? Not so much. Not yet, anyway. Cold weather in spades, however, and so I am dressed for it. Seriously, leggings can go out of style as much as they want, but I'm a convert and I won't give them up. So there.
Second. I can't decide between these two options for the black tie event. HELP.
Option one: more girlish silhouette? Feels slightly boring to me because I've worn it before (and in the last month, too.) I do feel a little more comfortable in it. My blingiest of necklaces goes well with it. Honestly, I'm leaning towards this.
Option two: More ... modern? I love the sparkles (the vintage belt is sequined, the top is sparkly all over, although it doesn't show up very well in the photo). I like the dramatic look - it just LOOKS "black tie charity event!" to me - but I'm not as confident that the overall fit is all that flattering. It's also a little more uncomfortable because the sparkles on the shirt act like velcro to the belt, making any adjustments awkward. The necklace doesn't go ... I'll have to wear a long strand of pearls or something.
I'm going shopping this afternoon, perhaps a third option will catch my eye. But in the meantime, what do you think? I don't promise to go with the majority opinion, but I'd like to hear your thoughts. (Especially you, mom.)
