I've been meaning to post for most of the week, but there just hasn't been much to say that isn't work related, and really, who besides me and mine really care about that? [Note: that's a rhetorical question. Don't answer!]

Besides work, I can only think of two things worth mentioning at all, and they are worth only very small mentions.

Number one: I love my hair. This new bouncy-curly-wave thing is definitely for me.

Number two: I love to watch the Thunderbird Youth Academy do their marching drills. I encountered two troops of them on Park St. this morning...four rows square of marching boys, the flag bearer in the front, and a sergeant off to the side. Of course I had to slow down and see if I recognized anyone.

It was such a beautiful morning, too--so crisp and clear and sunny.
Exhilaratingly cool, not cold. It was the kind of morning that made me thrilled to be alive and yes, awake for it. I hope every one of those boys out there marching realized what a beautiful thing it was and Who made it so.

I almost wished I could join them, marching--LEFTrightLEFTright...LEFT...LEFT...LEFTright--in the morning sun. Instead I am working under florencent lights, but outside the window I can still see the sun.

Ironically, it has always reminded me of you. It just seems very Beth-ish. =)

Wonderful! I was so happy when I found those. I knew they were meant just for you.

Huh. We're having the same weather here. Yet again we are twins in more than one way...

(This is a beautiful post, btw. I thoroughly enjoyed it.)

You find beauty in the oddest things.

I wish you could have seen them this morning, though. That was beautiful. The uniforms...the sun...the flag...

Well FINE! That's the last time I compliment you. ;-P

Of course I had to slow down and see if I recognized anyone.

*chortle*

[identity profile] savetheolives.livejournal.com 2005-02-11 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed you do. *wide grin*

So it's natural that I might recognize them, even though they are identical in their uniforms and haircuts. Yes?

[identity profile] savetheolives.livejournal.com 2005-02-11 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
*wide-eyed innocent look* Of course.

I knew you'd agree!
