goodbye, farewell...

Packed the parents and the brothers in the car and sent them on their way just a few minutes ago...

(What does a family who doesn't pray together before trips do?)

I always worry more about them when I'm not around to take care of them than I do for myself. Eh heh. Time for an ego check, I think. 

I'll miss 'em. But the wine is chilling in the fridge and I've got a stack of movies waiting. 

Menu for tonight: cream-less creamy broccoli rice soup, which I need to go start making if I wish to eat it before bedtime. Yum. Maybe tomorrow I'll break out the really big guns and whip up pork chops and stuffed mushrooms. 

(Everybody say welcome home to savetheolives, who is doubtless going to be very morose upon her return late tonight. Leave-taking is never easy. =\)
