Hm?

Today I got up early and ran in 70 degree weather. A minute ago I was outside when the wind changed. It's probably 15 degrees cooler in just the ten minutes since, and by the time I go home tonight it'll be below freezing.

And oh, yeah, I arrived at work to find the gas turned off, the back parking lot full of holes, hoses, heavy equipment, and workmen--and the phone line accidentally cut (at least it means the day will be quieter).

But at least we won't blow up in the meantime. Nothing like working in a time bomb.

Mawr dy ffyddlondeb, O! Dduw, fy Nhad nefol,
Heb yr un cysgod o dro, yn ddi-lyth,
Dduw digyfnewid, ni phaid dy drugaredd,
Megis y boust y byddi di byth.

Last night I walked past a bank of pay phones. It was dark and quiet and very middle-of-the-night-ish.

One of them began to ring.

I took five steps towards it before losing my nerve and deciding not to answer. I regret it now. Wouldn't it have been fun to answer the phone?

Hi I needta talk ta James.

No, sorry, this is a pay phone outside of a grocery store. Where did you think you were calling?

I walked away. It was still ringing. I would have been fun, but it was just a little too eerie.

Shades of The Matrix, anyone?

- Gas and phones back on. Yay.

- Plushenko skates tonight (actually, has already skated) to music from The Godfather. I hated him last Olympics. I liked him better after the short program, but this does more to decrease my dislike than almost anything else could.
