Lessons I learned from my grandmother # 298742: never be like her when I grow up

So apparently when my grandmother fell down the ravine Saturday, she broke one of her arm bones at the wrist. We finally insisted she go to the doctor; she was quite convinced that her arm was just fine, thank you very much. Nothing wong with her, no sir.

Oh, and she's refusing to keep it in the sling, too. Lovely.

And in other news, a day that started out quite dismally has improved in the most dramatic of ways. Our God is a God of miracles!

My grandmother broke her arm several years ago when she fell off a ladder while painting. She didn't call anyone and just drove herself to the hospital. After she got back she called my mom.

Maybe it was the time period they grew up in? What's that called, "The good old days"? ;)

Obstinate? Completely pigheaded? That'd be the one!

Some people are like that. They don't trust the medical community so they just refuse to get any medical attention. It can be kind of frustrating, especially when it's something serious.
