A dream and some other stuff.

Today started badly because I had a bad dream right before I woke up. You'll laugh (maybe) at my definition of "bad dream": I was visiting a woman who had a large book collection, and I found some that I really wanted to read. "May I borrow these books?" I asked her. She looked at me blankly, and I asked, "You do lend your books, don't you?" Until then it had never occurred to me that someone would horde such a massive collection and refuse to let them be read. But she wouldn't lend them, and I felt slighted indeed and stupid for asking and determined I'd never lend her any of my books! And so I shan't, dream-woman or no.

I got up early and ate breakfast: egg in a hole. Does anybody know what that is? It's good and easy (although there's always this point in the middle of the egg-making process where I wonder, why am I don't this? I don't even LIKE eggs, anyway. Then it eat it and it's okay.) I like it and I think it'll be a staple in this new breakfast-eating habit. But I remember now why I stayed away from breakfast on Mondays: I leave for work those days at 11:30. I'm not hungry for lunch if I eat breakfast. We'll have to rethink this.

Other things that have no bearing here went wrong, but all was redeemed when I went by the jewelers and found out that my favorite bracelet (which I accidentally broke last week) could and indeed was fixed.

alissamarie, did you know that both The Devil Wears Prada and The Nanny Diaries are being made into movies? I'm not sure how well they'll translate into cinema...but it could be interesting. =)

I did! And Anne Hathaway is going to be in The Devil Wears Prada. They were actually shooting in my neighborhood recently, though I didn't see it.

I will have to drag a girlfriend to those movies, although if they're any good, Tom may come. Hehehe.

Hm, I think that dream would bother me. I person who won't share with and encourage other readers isn't a proper book person.

I do the same thing when I make eggs for myself. "Why am I doing this again?" But, as you said, I eat them and it's ok.

Oh man. Must think... What has a hole in it that you could put eggs in that's not very sweet? Hmmmm... Man, I am so stumped. Is it a breakfast item? Or am I on the wrong track there?

It's a breakfast item, generally, although I like to eat it at any time of the day, but the hole is man-made.

You cut a hole in the middle of a piece of toast (with a drinking glass or some such thing), and put it in a skillet with a little butter in the middle of the hole, then crack an egg into it. It's pretty good. =)

hah! I've never heard of egg in a hole before! I don't like eggs much though.
I've started eating two meals a day. I'm maintaining my weight well. *happiness* I don't have a weight problem, just a weight obsession.

Hehe! What a nightmare! She definitely doesn't deserve to borrow any of your books... I don't lend my books except to a very few trusted group of people.
