I think everyone struggles with different things in life and even as good of friends as anyone can strive to be you don't always know when or how's the best way to be encouraging. That's why I think it's good to always be encouraging in anything you say or do. As Christians we really have no excuse not to be joyful which is often encouraging to others. When you have joy in your life and you let that spill over to those you meet it really can have a positive impact.

Thanks for posting to let us all know that it is encouraging to you and as a result encouraging to all of us as well. God is indeed good.

And you are being encouraging yet again with this comment. =) I've allowed some things to steal my joy lately, but I think I'm on the right track again -- especially thanks to people like you who remind me of this.

(And yes, being around joyful people does wonders towards increasing my own joy. I try to remind myself of that when I'm tempted to display a less than pleasant attitude towards others.)

Philippians 4

13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.


We studied that passage recently and it was such a blessing (and challenge!). We thoroughly enjoyed it and I think there's so many great principles contained in there.

High goals indeed. We had a really good study through that the last several weeks at church and then with the discussion that followed on Sunday nights it made for a really enriching and challenging time. Challenging in a good way of course.
