wheeeee! (translation: Hilarity and Jolly Times)

Life is good.

Spent the evening writing the family Christmas letter (Mwahahaha, now they remember why they regret putting me in charge of this every year!)  while Mannheim Steamroller blasted and mum and the boys put up the Christmas tree.

And Hagen tried to eat the twinkly lights.

I asked Benjamin to make me a cup of coffee with "one spoon of sugar and some half and half."

I received a cup with one spoon of sugar and half coffee, half half-and-half.

The  poor kid didn't know what half-and-half was and completely misunderstood.

But it was really, really good.

Oh, praise God for the blessing of the Good Life!

:-D Sounds delightful!
We've yet to get a tree, but I believe it was scheduled for "sometime this week" ;-)

Mmm...liquid candy...

Oh, I came across the line from your 'No cylindrical smoking thingy' icon in Thief of Time yesterday.

I seem to have made that the most memorable line in the book. =)

I myself prefer the one about the Monks of Cool...

Manheim Steamroller is pretty fun. I like how they combine things that are both very traditional and modern at the same time.

My parents recorded a pretty neat special on TV that showed a Manheim Steamroller Christmas concert, along with kind of a documentary about the band. It was pretty neat. They used to play it all the time around Christmas time, but this year we discovered the tape was missing. Maybe now we'll have to buy the DVD.

Ditto!

I like that icon...where was it taken?

I like that icon...where was it taken?

My bedroom at my parents house about 3 or 4 years ago. :-)

It was taken as sort of promo photo for a website I was making with my friend Noemi when we had a music project together. We ended up only recording one song together, but it's still the best musical thing I ever did, I think. Anyway, I wanted to take a picture of me playing a keyboard, but when I took it in my bedroom, you could see my closet doors in the background, and that just looked lame. So I hung my union jack in the background, and voila! - it looked way more professional. :-D

This is kind of crazy, but I always thought it looked like you were in a museum -- the keyboard kind of looks like a railing, and it looked like you were looking up surveying some big piece of art or something. Lol!

I like the flag. =)

LOL!!!
That's great. :-D It's funny how these small LJ icons kind of create a different image when they're shrunk so small.

You can't tell so much in this pic, but it's a really cheap flag. I only paid about $3 for it on eBay. :-D It's great though. =)

HAHAHAHAHA!!!
That's hilarious! "Give me a coffee with half half-and-half". :-D Poor guy. I bet it was pretty good! ;D

It was *very* good. O_O

Cute! *misses having a cat*

[identity profile] eattheolives.livejournal.com 2006-12-13 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe you won't when I tell you about the dozen times I had to get up last night and fetch him out of the top of the tree. *snerkle*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/patrick___/ 2006-12-13 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahahaha! That's hilarious!

Now I *really* miss having a cat.

[identity profile] eattheolives.livejournal.com 2006-12-13 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
The expression on his face each time is priceless: this combination of catly pride and "huh? me? I didn't do anything, whaddaya lookin' at me for?"

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/patrick___/ 2006-12-13 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww! I want a cat!!!!
And a dog!

I'll trade you my turtle for your cat! ;-)

[identity profile] eattheolives.livejournal.com 2006-12-13 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha! Not likely, buddy! I'm even taking Hagen with me when I leave home...he was my birthday gift, anyhow. "Family pet", nothing!

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/patrick___/ 2006-12-13 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
=) Hehehe. Cool!
